Area Info     bio: I have always enjoyed painting, but it wasn’t until the early 1970’s that I pursued it seriously. I have worked from life by either painting from an easel outside or a still life set up inside. Most recently, I have been working from photographs.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton College, Northfield, Minnesota. I have studied oil landscape, pastel, and watercolor painting under numerous artists from coast to coast including: Charles Movalli of Massachusetts; Albert Handell of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Daniel Greene of New York; Ben Konis of Texas; and Barbara Nechis of California. Area artists I have studied with include Rose Edin of Staples, Minnesota; Karlyn Holman of Washburn, Wisconsin; and Bob Mattson and Bob Orr of Willmar, Minnesota

The earth is so beautiful that it inspires me to do landscape painting. I would hope that viewers connect with my paintings and find them meaningful.
