Area Info     bio: Carol Lundeen of rural Dassel, MN is an artist who has many different passions when it comes to expressing herself in art.  Whether it is a rural landscape, a pheasant on a snowy hill or a crumbling old barn, Carol finds a "certain attractiveness that just needs to be painted". Applying oils to canvas is her medium of choice to do just that.  She has painted from her own backyard and from scenery viewed during family travels.  Carol also enjoys the realism she can achieve in a relatively new and upcoming medium; claybord. Her favorite subjects to etch in claybord are anything from wildlife to people and pets.

Many people in the Central MN area have also come to know Carol for her pen and ink drawings of newborns and infants.  She uses a stippling (dots) technique to create her life-like images.

In March of 2007, Carol was invited to show her work at the New York ArtExpo in Manhattan.  She has marketed her baby art nationally through various publications and doctor conventions for the last 9 years."
